5 Best Bachata Songs by Toby Love
Toby Love was once a backup singer for the world-famous bachata group, Aventura. But since his solo artist debut in 2006, he has added his own flavor of hip-urban style music to the growing list of modern bachata artists.
Toby Love was born on March 20, 1979. A former vocalist in the group Aventura for about six years, Toby Love learned a lot about bachata and began developing his own style as a solo artist with a new take on the genre. The goal of this Puerto Rican artist is to make bachata accessible to young urban kids all over the world. His musical influences are as diverse as R. Kelly, Michael Jackson, Brian McKnight, Lauryn Hill, Héctor Lavoe, and Juan Luis Guerra. Toby describes his music as, a fusion of R&B with new age and traditional bachata transforming it into something he likes to call “crunkchata.”
